Domino's
#2 of 15 in its sector · +15 vs sector average · best data infrastructure 88, lowest training & support AI 76
Domino's documented AI is operational and customer-facing: a machine-learning order-tracking engine inside DomOS, its proprietary operating system, now sets the ready time customers see, and a generative-AI alliance with Microsoft announced in 2023 targets ordering and store operations. The best-known computer-vision tool, DOM Pizza Checker, belongs to Domino's Pizza Enterprises, the separately listed master franchisee that built it, not to Domino's Pizza, Inc.
Papa John's
#10 of 15 in its sector · -3 vs sector average · best data infrastructure 68, lowest training & support AI 58
Papa Johns had 6,083 restaurants at the end of 2025, up 0.9%, franchising in 48 international markets — the largest outside North America are South Korea (278 restaurants) and China (266). Its AI is almost entirely one Google Cloud programme, and most of it is still arriving: order suggestions, loyalty personalisation, a chatbot and app voice ordering were announced as plans in April 2025, and in January 2026 Papa Johns became Google Cloud's launch customer for a unified voice-and-text ordering agent, with nationwide rollout targeted by the end of 2026.
