Accor had 5,836 hotels (881,427 rooms) at the end of 2025, and its Middle East–Africa–Asia-Pacific network is now larger than its European one by rooms. Its AI is unusually concrete for a hotel group: Accor says its AI Travel Concierge resolves 40% of guest queries, its ALL Accor booking app went live inside ChatGPT in January 2026, and an internal copilot, AccorGPT, saves about 2.5 hours a week across 7,000 staff. Accor says AI-driven personalisation of loyalty search is still in development.

Marriott's system reached 9,805 properties at the end of 2025, 7,644 of them franchised, licensed or other, and it owns or leases less than one percent of the system. Its public AI work is early and centred on guest search and internal productivity — Ask Bonvoy, an AI search tool in beta since June 2026, plus Microsoft 365 Copilot and an AI coach for contact-center agents. In February 2026 its CEO said that on AI the company is “not even in uniform or on the field.”
